About First Parish Church of Milton

Founded in 1678 First Parish of Milton, located in Milton, MA, is one of the oldest  churches in the United States. Led by Reverend Lisa Ward, this Unitarian Universalist congregation is a vibrant and welcoming faith community. The present church building was built in 1787 and for a time was used as the Town Meetinghouse. In 1937 an adjoining Children's Church was built as a unique replica of the main Meetinghouse. The Meetinghouse currently boasts one of the finest pipe organs on the South Shore, a beautiful 7-foot grand piano, and a glorious acoustic in a breathtakingly beautiful historical setting.
